I was raised in Puglia Italy, surrounded by great Italian art. My father, Paulo Poli, a successful painter in his own right, is my earliest inspiration.
My childhood was spent traveling back and forth from Italy to the United States, which laid the foundation for the motivation behind my desire to become an artist. I've been painting ever since I can remember.
As a young woman my passion for art was developed further at the Fashion institute of Technology in New York City. Where I found myself in the center of the artworld, engulfed by contemporary art.
After graduation from FIT I moved to the artist colony
in
Provincetown, Ma. A magnet for many renowned artists such as Hans
Hoffman,
Henry Henche, Edward Hopper and Robert Motherwell, as well as others.
There
I continued to study with other teachers as well as
independently.
For twenty years I've successfully exihibited and sold my
paintings
. I know have opened up my own gallery in Provincetown, a dream come
true.
"Producing my work is the most important endeavor
in my life and living in Provincetown allows the time, energy and space
for my complete abandonment into art.My experience of painting is the
never
ending journey through myself. Hoping to capture, through line the
energy,
and through color the feelings of my life."
